Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is a congregation located in Westminster, SC. The church has strong emphases on mission, service, and discipleship. We are affiliated with the Seneca River Baptist Association and committed to the truth of God’s Word.
We are looking for a God-fearing individual who will effectively lead our congregation in new growth by reaching all age groups, therefore equipping us to share our faith relative to Kingdom Building.
Qualified applicants must be a licensed or ordained minister, with leadership experience.
Desired Qualification(s) but not required:
Possess at least some seminary training, including successful completion of Christian education training programs.
QUALIFICATION/ EDUCATION/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a licensed or ordained minister in the Baptist Faith.
- Be a strong deliverer in speaking and bringing the word of God, be an effective communicator by conveying messages clearly, concisely, and accurately, and effective presentation skills.
- Lead and coordinate worship services to ensure the smooth operation of church.
- Provide solutions to conflicts /disputes within the church.
- Demonstrate and display pastoral concern and care of being a shepherd tending to his or her flock, visiting the sick.
- Be proficient in organizational skills and administrative tasks.
- Be active in supporting the Seneca River Baptist Association and the Baptist E&M Convention.
- Possess reputation for honesty, humility, and a commitment to Christian values is important.
- Prefer at least an undergraduate or seminary degree; but not required.
- Be committed to further religious training, church growth, and member retention.
- Be able to articulate God’s vision for the church that emphasizes spiritual growth and Christian education development. Reference Habakkuk 2:2-3
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and approachability.
- Be able to provide for the nurture of the members including visitation of the sick and shut-in, hospital visits, comfort, and assistance for the bereave, and Biblical counseling for members and the un-churched.
- Candidate must be able to oversee and conduct the outreach efforts and Bible and Christian education classes, administer the Lord’s Supper, perform weddings, conduct funerals, and attend church fellowships.
